The building had to be a place to connect the community with flexible, warm, welcoming spaces that remembered the past, were functional today and planned for the future, while being multi-cultural/generational. The design response was framed by the opportunity to re-think what a church building could be and how it could engage the wider community.
We have been told that people often comment on how embracing the building is when they enter and the quality of the acoustics. The building committee acknowledge the construction expertise of the main contractor iLine and the team who produced such a quality building on budget for our church whānau and the wider community.
