The works comprised the construction of a high-bay workshop facility incorporating service bays, an overhead gantry crane, dedicated service pits, dangerous goods control zones and extraction systems to accommodate a wide range of truck servicing operations. Associated spaces include parts storage, staff amenities, offices and customer interface areas, while a sealed rainwater catchment system supports wash bay operations.
The project required careful coordination between structural, architectural, mechanical and specialist equipment installations to ensure the facility met the operational requirements of a high-volume truck servicing environment. In addition to the building works, the development included significant civil and infrastructure works, including large-format concrete hardstand areas, underground services, stormwater management systems and site drainage. The completed facility provides Truckstops with a modern and efficient servicing hub capable of supporting its operations across the wider Bay of Plenty region.
