Designed by Jigsaw Architects, with engineering input from BCD Group and Elliot Sinclair, the facility incorporates several specialised features, including an elevated fill floor housed beneath a large cantilevered structure and an integrated emergency shutdown system. The depot was carefully designed to meet Rockgas’ operational and compliance requirements while maintaining consistency with its wider network of facilities.
The project required close coordination of specialist services, particularly around the staged installation of the LPG storage tanks and surrounding precast structure. Careful planning and sequencing throughout construction enabled these complex elements to be successfully integrated, delivering a high-quality, purpose-built facility to support Rockgas’ ongoing operations in Tauriko.
