iLine Construction has delivered a new architecturally designed library and service facility in Ngātea for Hauraki District Council, strengthening local access to learning resources, civic services and community programmes. The project also included upgrades to the adjoining carpark and surrounding landscaping, improving pedestrian flow and creating a safer, more accessible public space.

Inside, the facility incorporates Featurecraft acoustic high-set ceilings and Autex acoustic wall panels to support comfortable study, digital learning and quiet reading areas. Ample natural light and open sightlines create an inclusive environment that encourages participation and community connection.

A key success of the project was the strong collaboration between iLine Construction, Hauraki District Council, OCTA and Stirling Architects. Structured communication and early engagement supported informed decision-making and efficient progress throughout the construction phase.

Designed with durability and future adaptability in mind, the Ngātea Library accommodates evolving technology, multipurpose programmes and community gatherings. It now serves as an important civic anchor, supporting education, connection and lifelong learning for the wider Hauraki district.
